Network Marketing And Forums

As I am sitting here visiting the mountains of North Carolina on a beautiful day, I noticed that everything out in nature has an order. Trying to determine how to really apply this to network marketing and mlm is the lesson of the day. So often in the hype, sales pitches and pictures of glitz those in the network marketing business tend to for get side tracked and out of the realm of the natural beauty of the network marketing business.

Recently, forum marketing has been touted as a kind organic and viral marketing. Yet, countless marketers go into forums blast their message with the intention of overtly marketing products, services, or network marketing business opportunity. Their actions and attitude unwittingly violate the natural order of things, which causes the exact opposite of the desired effect. It is like watching network marketers try and swim upstream pitching and trying to scream over each other.

Forums aren’t marketplaces but places to learn and add value. However when used by network marketers to blast unrelated messages, the network marketers’ actions become offensive and will only inspire the wrath of fellow members and marketers, not to mention moderators who can ban them from the site with the click of their mouse.

In order to be effective, this kind of marketing carries a certain degree of commitment, responsibility and respect. Marketers could generate a large number of targeted network marketing leads to their primary opportunity. The first requirement is to be interested in the main topic of the forum. Not only does that mean visiting it regularly, but it also means developing good relationships with both other members and the moderators. Of course, it also means abiding by and all rules that exist. Some network marketers are enticed by the idea of volume when in reality quality is more advantageous to building your network marketing business. By doing this, one can develop a reputation and, since it is human nature to work with a trusted colleague, business will naturally develop from this.

This type of marketing has already suffered some abuse and because of this, many forums have created rules designed to protect their members from abusive or overly-aggressive marketing tactics. Some social networking sites will go as far as to ban your account from the entire site. One forum grants signature files only after a member has created one hundred valid posts and another has disallowed ads in signature files altogether.

Network Marketers must respect that the purpose of a forum is to be a platform to exchange ideas on a given topic. It is not there to advertise products and services. Think above the noise and how you will generate business 5 years from now. If network marketers develop a reputation of being pushy and dishonest hipsters, the likelihood that you will have qualified prospects in the future is slim to none. By focusing on the topic and posting questions and answers, a network marketer’s reputation will grow and this creates the potential for sales naturally.
